Our Impact
At Missouri KIDS, we believe that a life-altering injury shouldn’t end a young athlete’s dreams—it should be the beginning of a new path forward. Our mission is to walk alongside these resilient students and their families by providing critical, customized support that meets them where they are and grows with them over time. Here's how we make a difference:
Adaptive Equipment
Mobility and independence begin with the right tools. From customized wheelchairs and prosthetics to therapy bikes and sports-specific equipment, we provide adaptive gear that empowers young athletes to move, engage, and thrive in daily life. This equipment restores more than function—it restores confidence, freedom, and joy.
Accessible Vehicles
Transportation should never be a barrier to opportunity. We help families secure wheelchair-accessible vans or modify existing vehicles so our recipients can safely travel to school, therapy, medical appointments, and community events. These vehicles offer more than convenience—they offer connection and inclusion.
Home Modifications
A safe, accessible home environment is essential for healing and independence. Missouri KIDS funds modifications like wheelchair ramps, widened doorways, stair lifts, and accessible bathrooms so recipients can navigate their homes with comfort and dignity. These changes make daily life easier for the whole family.
Education & Personal Support
Our commitment goes beyond physical needs—we’re also focused on futures. We provide scholarships and personal development support to help students stay on track academically and emotionally. Whether they’re learning new skills, applying for college, or discovering new goals, Missouri KIDS is there every step of the way.
Real Impact. Lifelong Support.
For over 50 years, Missouri KIDS has proudly supported children across the state in rebuilding their lives with courage, strength, and community behind them. We don’t just provide resources—we offer a lifelong connection that helps each recipient move forward with confidence and possibility.
